Wildlife & Nature

Are you familiar with the Manx Loaghtan sheep native to the Isle of Man? You’ll spot them roaming the fields – but don’t be frightened by their horns, these sheep are as friendly as can be. They’re also not the only animals that can be spotted around Langness. From the lighthouse you can spot Highland cattle, dolphins, seals, basking sharks and Minke whales. Bird watchers will also enjoy viewing migration and nesting of countless bird species throughout the year. The Langness peninsula is recognised by UNESCO as an excellent spot to explore, with its rock coves, arches and pinnacles.

That being said, you’re far from isolated, should you choose to venture into the capital of Douglas, with its shopping streets, hotel spas, gorgeous promenade, British pubs and late night dining. No matter your interest in the Isle of Man, you’ll find the lighthouse is a perfect spot from which to explore its beauty.
